If you own this game on steam you may be running into issues launching it, as the underlying DRM for this particular title is no longer working properly. Unfortunately although Disney has been contacted about the issue, the only real response from them has been a canned response:
Thankfully due to some helpful users on the Steam forums (https://steamcommunity.com/app/315440/discussions/0/2733047810439073181/?ctp=3) there is a way to get the game working properly once more. A very helpful user by the name of P4R4D0X, pointed out that there is external software that works around this issue. The software is called 80_PA, which can be found on the following website:
https://exelab.ru/f/index.php?action=vthread&forum=13&topic=19719&page=0. The actual software can be downloaded through the same forum post, just look for a mega link or their respective mirror links on the above linked post.
PLEASE NOTE: This fix seems to work for Steam issued licenses, if your license was attained via an alternate method/store it may not work. Please keep this in mind – results may vary.
SecuROM now provides an unlock website which should be the first thing you attempt to get the unlock code:
If you have a valid license try this first as it does not require you to run an external KeyGen for the code. If you still need the other activation method then please read on.
The website where the solution was posted does not exist any more, if you need to download 80_PA download it from this link on Mega (https://mega.nz/file/7vAzCaIZ#ihYlQJh9HqjmXpzk_FbDaJOlJjE1u1G15FNIIpTVonA).
Within this package you will find the following files:
Under 80_PA Readme you will find a README file, this file contains the hash for the software so it’s validity can verified.
The next file you will need to open is the 80_PA.exe file. This is used as you are running the game and have the manual activation from SecureRom running.
Your system should generate the HWID automatically.
Ensure to have “Tron: Evolution” selected:
Once both options for KEY and HWID are listed green you can then click on Generate Unlock Code
Once the above process is complete, the code should be generated and can be copied to your clipboard.
On the manual SecureRom unlock screen for the game, paste the code that was generated,
If everything went through correctly you should have a successful activation.
If you need assistance there are a couple of videos on YouTube which can help with the process (watch them from beginning to end to get a gist of how the process works):
Взлом SecuROM-игр с помощью 80_PA
This method does actually work as you can see from the following video:
A personal thanks to P4R4D0X for providing the information necessary to get the issue fixed, he was incredibly informative and helpful during this process, and to ExeLab directly as it is their software which is providing the actual workaround to fix to this issue.
Understandably not everyone is comfortable with running external programs to get this fixed. For those users I would recommend them to get in touch with Disney support directly:
Now Disney is a large company and you may not get a lot of traction, but at least they’ll be aware of the issue.
You also have to remember that Denuvo/SecureRom are external DRM elements as well so if these are hindering you from using your licensed software then in my opinion you should be able to look for other viable ways to be able to utilize it.

Sorry I think the main source was taken down for some reason. I think I have a copy of the tool, I’ll post a link to it if I can.

Post has been updated to reflect this.
Nothing works. I have Windows 10, I wanted to play Tron Evolution, before starting the game, the same SecuRom protection crawled out and demanded to enter the key, I downloaded the keygen, did everything right, copied and inserted the key, pressed activate and I get an error that the key is not working … If I translated this text in Google Translate, I don’t know English well, I’m sorry if there are any mistakes and incomprehensible sentences in my text.
Is your key a Steam issued key or was it issued elsewhere. Reason I ask is because this fix seems to work for most Steam issued licenses, I’ve seen other users using other keys where it will not validate (those specific keys). It would be useful to know where you bought the game and see if there is some pattern.
80_PA keygen (official) is available on Google Play Store:
While, I’m grateful for the help P4R4D0X provided me, I found it strange that he wouldn’t just provide this keygen. He was worried about legal repercussions, but I’m not sure why. As far as I know, this keygen is practically useless if you don’t own the original game so what would be illegal about sharing it? Also, since when are keygens illegal anyway? They don’t contain files protected by copyright.
Sorry for late reply, you are correct, the program he used was only usable with a valid key so not really sure what they issue was, but I guess since it was still a workaround he was a bit worried. Honestly if Disney had just disabled the DRM none of it would have been needed. I’m still hoping they do remove the application completely from the Steam release.
Hi there, I am trying to get this game to work now in 2022. I got the activation code to work with the program but the activation key wasn’t accepted, it’s asking for a manual activation with the SERIAL number. Which unfortunately I don’t think I have a SERIAL number, any way to work around this or generate one?
This fix is specifically geared for those with a key to just unlock their copy. However if you were so inclined you could either just search for a key online as in “tron evolution serial key”, you could also use a key generator as well (like this one: https://link.ws/2qgqL). You could try a serial posted by serials.ws and see if it works (https://link.ws/gqaDU). If you do use a keygen it is always recommended you thoroughly scan the file for malicious code/software. Good luck!
80_PA SecuROM keygen is updated
official link now:
80_PA.exe (Windows XP and later) & 80_PA.apk (Android 4.0 and later)
Just saw your comment, nice to see it has been updated. Just a note to others, I have not tried this version of 80_PA so make sure to test this in a safe environment. If you are unaware of what this is, allow someone else to try it first and then report results.
Please update a you article. You write about version 1.35, but 80_PA v2.0 has become much easier to – only need enter the “Request Unlock Code” and copy paste generated “Unlock Code” in to SecuROM PA manual activation window.

Also, all who read this message – you can send unsupported games, programs with SecuROM PA for new addition of 80_PA keygen.
I will update the article as soon as I have some time, thanks for the update!
